All About My Life in Vermont...
I'm a Vermont web developer. I built this page using Skeleton, a responsive framework for building web pages. Try resizing the browser window to see how the page responds. Page elements and images will automatically re-adjust for different screen widths, like iPads and Smart Phone screens. Notes: This page won't re-adjust in Internet Explorer, which doesn't understand responsive design. The links above are dummy links.
Okay, here's some real, actual content. In October of 2008 Liz and I drove up to spend a weekend in Vermont and visit Dog Mountain with our dogs. We all fell in love with Vermont (yes, including our dogs), and within a few months we found ourselves in a cute little apartment in Barre, Vermont. We all tend to think it's the smartest thing we ever did.
The slideshow above contains photos that I have taken during our time here. Below are photos of our dogs and Liz.
Raven
I adopted Raven from a shelter when he was a year old. He's part Border Collie - part Flat-Coated-Retriever, which needless to say, makes for one high energy dog. When he's not running around exploring life, he turns into a big mush, and is pretty much guaranteed to flop over for a belly rub if you give him a little attention. He turned eleven in June and has actually showed signs of slowing down a little. I never thought I'd see that day come.
Maggie
Liz got Maggie as a cute little ten-week old puppy. She has been Liz's constant companion since then and has been her friend through some difficult times. Five years ago Maggie persuaded Liz to take her to a local dog park where we met and fell in love. We have all been inseparable ever since. You can see more photos of her at the Maggie Slideshow, another responsive design that will resize for different device widths.
Liz and Maggie
This is a photo of Liz and Maggie together at Dog Mountain in December, 2008 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. We came back up to visit and see just how cold it felt in the middle of winter in Vermont. This days was pretty comfortable at 28 degrees but a few days later on New Year's Eve it got down to zero. That felt cold! We still ended up moving here the following February and have gotten used to, and even enjoy winter in Vermont.
